MEET THE LAW SCHOOL - LL.M. FAIR

05/04/2013 (10:00 - 17:00)

Fritz Thyssen Stiftung / Apostelnkloster 13-15 / 50672 // Cologne

Who will you meet?
Law students and legal trainees who are at different stages of preparation for advanced legal education in the US.

Is the LL.M. Fair open to the public?
Yes. In addition to approximately 50 participants from our day-long seminar on May 3, on how to prepare for legal studies in the US, other prospective students can register for the LL.M. Fair itself. Also, a reduced participation fee for students will lead to a substantially larger turnout.

How can I present my law school?
Your university will be assigned to a custom-designed booth in which to meet with students and display materials, and the opportunity to schedule private meetings for seven hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. We encourage you to invite alumni of your school to come along.

Participation is limited to 25 law schools.

How much does it cost?
€ 2,000 per law school. As the DAJV is a non-profit organization, this fee is used exclusively to cover the costs of the event.

What does the fee cover?
It covers a custom-made booth designed to your university’s visual parameters, food and beverage catering, assistance with finding accommodation and transportation (the costs of which are not included in the fee), logo placement on promotional materials, and logo placement and link on the DAJV website. The DAJV will invite all school representatives to dinner the evening before.

When and where will it take place?
May 4, 2013, in the building of the Fritz Thyssen Foundation (formerly America House) in Cologne, Germany.

How can I get there from the United States?
The nearest airport with frequent direct flights to and from the US is Düsseldorf, which is 20 minutes from Cologne by train or car. The Cologne and Frankfurt airports provide excellent connections as well. It takes 20 minutes from Cologne airport into the city and one hour from Frankfurt to Cologne by train.

Until when do I have to apply?
Spaces are assigned on a first come, first served basis. Last year’s event was booked out within a month of its announcement. Early booking and prior payment is required and encouraged to make sure your law school will be listed on the seminar flyer with a print run of 4,000. The distribution of the flyer is scheduled for early December 2012.
