Dear Students and Members of the European Law Community,

The German American Lawyers’ Association (DAJV) is pleased to invite you to participate in its 2013 Annual Seminar and LL.M. Fair, and to announce two new aspects to its program. For nearly forty years, the DAJV has hosted this event to prepare German students to further their legal studies at top American law schools. This year’s program is the first in which this opportunity is extended to students from around Europe as well. In addition, it marks the beginning of a partnership with the European Law Students’ Association, whose collaboration will strengthen the DAJV’s outreach and attract more participants in the future.

In extending the program’s reach, the DAJV will offer to a wider student group the same resources that its German participants have benefited from in the past. These include the opportunity to meet individually with representatives from top US law schools, to compare different admission criteria, and to choose from a range of LL.M. programs from across the United States. The insights developed in these sessions often prove invaluable as foreign students are preparing their applications for American universities.

The European expansion the LL.M. Fair will be greatly enhanced by a new partnership with the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA). As the world’s largest organization of its kind, ELSA’s extensive membership base will allow the DAJV to attract a new and enthusiastic group of students to its annual program. This will ultimately allow the LL.M. Fair to grow further, as more participants will increase the number of schools taking part.
We hope you will take part in experiencing these new features of the DAJV LL.M. Fair, and that you will join us in Cologne this May with your European law student peers.
