The Islam-critical cartoons about Prophet Muhammad that were published in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten in 2005 (and many more that followed) created an outcry. The protests by Muslims resulting in more than 200 reported deaths made the conflict of freedom of religion and the freedom of the media subject to a worldwide debate that is still ongoing.
The German-American Lawyers Association (DAJV) is affiliating with Fordham Law School on a one-week program on Recent Developments in U.S. Law, to be held in New York City from July 15-19 (with an optional session on July 14).
